Is it good or bad to wear someone else's shoes?

How often do friends borrow each other's shoes? Or the older child's shoes now become the younger ones? Or a relative gives you a pair of shoes that no longer fit? In this article, we show you how to take care of your feet without losing the fun of the moment.

Reasons why you shouldn't wear used shoes

The first steps of your children will mark their footprint forever. That's why you should never wear used shoes. Each person has a different way of walking, and no two feet are the same.

Clothes can stay, but shoes cannot because, according to experts, as children grow, so do their bones, and when they adopt someone else's shoes, their feet will probably follow the same formation, which is not theirs. For example, this can lead to deformities such as flat feet, rubbing, and even fungus.

But as every rule has its exception, these are the some used shoes that you can wear:

  • Soft Sole Baby Shoes can be "inherited" since babies do not walk yet and will not change the formation of the child's foot that is going to use it.
  • House slippers can also be kept for the baby brother, as they are soft, and their function is not to hold the child's foot but to give him freedom and rest.
  • Pool flip-flops, such as Havaianas or Crocs, can also have everlasting life. Check the shoe sole because a slip in the pool can be dangerous.
  • And of course, you can wear those shoes only used for a special celebration

Adults are also at risk

According to studies, a shoe can include up to 10 billion bacteria, found inside and outside regardless of whether it is owned or used. Some of the most common infections are:

  • Athlete's foot
  • Itching
  • Redness
  • Nail fungus

You probably visit your relatives, and suddenly they take out of the closet a pair of shoes that they no longer use, and they want to give them to you... So if they are beautiful and fit your style, you will not think twice to say yes to them.!

It's easy: If you receive a pair of used shoes and you don't want to reject them, the first thing you should do is wash them and clean them well.

We hope from Imperial Feet to have helped you know which used shoes to keep and which not to keep, what to receive, and what to do next.

And above all to understand the great importance that shoes have on the adults and children's feet health. You can always count on us to be here with specific foot care products. See you next time!
