How to get shiny, strong, and healthy nails?

How to get shiny, strong, and healthy nails?

If we were asked: "What is the part of our body that we use the most all day long?" The answer could be our hands.! But maintaining well-groomed nails can be a challenge, so here's what you need to know to keep your nails in good condition.

Nail care: The right thing to do

To keep your nails at their best, consider the following:

  1. Keep your nails dry and clean. This will prevent bacteria from growing under your nails. Repeated or prolonged contact with water can contribute to split nails. Wear cotton-lined rubber gloves when washing dishes, cleaning, or using harsh chemicals.

  2. Practice good nail hygiene. Use sharp manicure scissors or nail clippers. Trim your nails in a straight line and then round the tips in a gentle curve.

  3. Be careful around acetone. Acetone can cause nails to dehydrate, making them more brittle in the long run. Try to avoid having it on the nails for too long. If you can, always choose an acetone-free nail polish remover.

  4. Use moisturizer. When using hand lotion, rub it also on the nails and cuticles.

Apply a protective coating. Applying a nail hardener can help strengthen nails.

  1. Consult your doctor about biotin. Some research has suggested that the nutritional supplement biotin may help strengthen weak or broken nails.

To prevent nail damage, be careful not to do the following:

  1. Don't bite your nails or cut your cuticles. These habits can damage the nail bed. Even a minor cut along with the nail can allow bacteria or fungus to enter and cause infection.

  2. Don't remove hangnails. You may tear off live tissue along with the hangnail. Instead, cut the hangnails carefully.

  3. Do not use harsh nail care products. Limit the use of nail polish remover. When using nail polish remover, choose an acetone-free formula. Also, the Imperial Feet breathable and oxygenated Nail Polish line will help you protect and improve nail health. You can check it out by clicking here! https://bit.ly/3mkXTbQ
  1. Don't ignore problems. If you have a nail problem that doesn't go away on its own or is related to other signs and symptoms, see your doctor or dermatologist for an evaluation.

At Imperial Feet, we are always with you to help you walk with freedom and confidence.
