The best ways to prevent athlete's foot

Athlete's foot, also known as tinea pedis, is a fungal infection that affects the skin on the feet. It is caused by a fungus that thrives in warm, moist environments. The fungus can be found in places such as locker rooms, swimming pools, and communal showers. It can also be spread from person to person through direct contact. It is a common condition that can cause symptoms such as itching, burning, stinging and redness of the skin on the feet. Athlete's foot isn't something you wish to have, so here are some ways that help to prevent it.

Keep your feet clean and dry:
Make sure to wash your feet regularly with soap and water, and thoroughly dry them afterward, especially between the toes. You can even make this step a little more relaxed by giving yourself a nice footbath with the Imperial Feet Footbath Oil. The combination of lavender and pine needle oil is helps against the development of fungi and bacteria.

Wear breathable footwear:
Shoes made of breathable materials like leather or mesh can help keep your feet dry and prevent the growth of fungus. Avoid shoes made of synthetic materials, as they can trap moisture.

Wearing clean your shoes and socks:
Wearing clean shoes and socks every day can help prevent the growth of fungi. Fungal spreads easily and is able to live in moist and damp environments for over a year. Especially your shoes can be a breeding ground for bacteria. The Shoe & Sock Spray will help to disinfect the shoes and socks and prevent the fungal from growing.

Avoid walking barefoot in public areas:
Wear sandals or flip-flops in communal showers, locker rooms, and pool areas to reduce your risk of contracting a fungal infection.

Don't share personal items:
Do not share towels, shoes, or other personal items with others, as this can increase your risk of infection.

By following these preventive measures, you can reduce your risk of getting athlete's foot. However, if you do develop the condition, it's important to seek treatment promptly to prevent it from spreading or becoming more severe. The Imperial Feet Athlete’s Foot Solution is rich in aloe vera and almond oil and will heal your feet without any hard chemicals that will harm your skin.
